PLEASE READ ALL TERMS AND CONDITIONS - BY PAYING THE DEPOSIT YOU ARE ACKNOWLEDGING AND AGREEING TO ALL THE BELOW CLAUSES.

PRICING

When you call our salon for a quote or when referring to the "from $$" please remember this is a QUOTE ONLY. The quote is approximate and not exact. All pricing will be dependent on breed, type of clip (breed clips, scissored clips), behavior, whether your pet is regularly groomed (ie every 4-8 weeks, rather than every 3-12 months), size, age and matting/knots. 

A pet that is regularly groomed, accustomed to the grooming process and has no knots will behave differently than that of a pet that is groomed a couple of times a year and not used to being groomed, therefore the pricing reflects this. 

It is beneficial to start the grooming process when your pet is young, we suggest starting as soon as all puppy vaccinations have been completed - the first couple of grooms will be a simple wash and dry. Your furbaby will get used to being dropped off and picked up, used to the noise of the clippers and dryer. Introducing your pooch to grooming when they're young is one of the best things you can do for them! 

GENERAL

Please ensure your pet is on a leash at all times, this is for the safety of your pet and our salon. Please ensure your pets are kept on the leash whilst in the salon to deter from marking their territory. We will remove lead once they are on the grooming table.

Please ensure your pet has had a bathroom break and well hydrated before their grooming appointment. Water will be given during the grooming session.

MAKING AN APPOINTMENT

A Non Refundable deposit for your booking will be required. 

Your appointment will be tentatively booked when you call our salon. We will then send you an invoice for a Non Refundable Deposit to be paid by a specified time to secure your booking OR if you are booking online a deposit is required via the payment button.

Please note "non refundable" means the deposit will not be refunded under any circumstances.


ARRIVAL & PICKUP

Please ensure you arrive on time to your appointment. We book clients in one after another and therefore if you are late it is likely your appointment will be shortened and full fee will still be payable. We will not accept your pet if you are running more than 10 minutes late as it will push our other clients out, and your deposit will be lost.

We do not accept early arrivals. Your appointment time will be as arranged and as per confirmation text or email.

For a wash and dry; length of time is usually between 1 hour to 1.5 hours - for large dogs with furnishings this may take longer. A full clip for a small dog ranges from 1.5 hours to 2 hours. Full clip on a large breed 2.5 hours to 3 hours. For matted pets or pets with behavioral issues time may vary. We will give you an estimate when you arrive at the salon.  

When you are leaving the salon please avoid making a fuss, it is better if your furbaby does not notice you're leaving. Whilst you may want to give them a big smooch goodbye it can increase their stress levels and cause them anxiety. Our aim is to make it as comfortable and happy experience for them.

Our staff will call you 10 minutes before your pet is ready to be picked up. Please ensure you are able to pick your pet up when requested. We do not offer day care facilities and therefore extra charges will apply for late pick ups, please do not book if you are unable to stick to pick up and drop off policy. 

If you require more than 10 minutes notice to arrive at our salon for pickup please advise our staff upon drop off and we will give you more notice. Please also ensure you have your phone handy for receiving our call.

Please do not arrive early to collect your pet. A distracted pet causes them to be excited to see mum or dad and in turn makes it much harder for us to finish the grooming process. This also makes it dangerous when we are using sharp instruments such as scissors or clippers.

 

PET BEHAVIOR

Please advise if your pet has been bitten/nipped in the past whether it be with a groomer or otherwise. A dog bite (no matter the size of the dog) can potentially mean either a loss of income in the short term or loss of career. If it is found your dog has been aggressive in the past and this has not been disclosed to our groomer in writing you may be found liable for damages.

If your pet displays behavioral issues (whether that be nipping, growling, unable to handle being dried or clipped) that cannot be overcome with positive reinforcement we may not be able to complete the grooming session. Whilst we do all we can, if your pets behavior puts our safety or your pets safety in danger it is at our discretion as to whether we proceed. 

FULL PAYMENT FOR THE APPOINTMENT IS STILL REQUIRED WHETHER GROOM IS FINISHED OR NOT AS THE FULL TIME HAS BEEN ALLOCATED.


PET HEALTH​

Pets must be up to date with their vaccinations inclusive of kennel cough and parvo virus.

Puppy's must have their vaccinations up to date, normally 14-16 weeks old.

If your pet has a fungal infection, worms, anything that can be transmitted to another animal or groomer please do not book in a groom until this has cleared up. 

I understand that grooming can be stressful to some pets and I will inform the groomer if my pet has any heart condition or any stress related issues prior to grooming. I also understand that it is necessary to have my pet up to date on all vaccinations.

MATTING

I understand that Eclipse Dog Wash and Grooming puts my pet’s comfort above all else. In the event that my pet’s coat is matted. I understand that the groomer may have to shave the matts out rather than perform a painful dematting procedure. I also understand that if my pet is severely matted, that there is an increased risk for clipper burn, rashes or cuts to occur. I understand that all attempts will be made to prevent this, however, in many extreme matted conditions it is unavoidable. I also understand that matted pets take additional time to groom, blunt blades and make grooming more difficult so there will be an additional fee added on to the regular grooming price if my pet’s coat is matted, price will be given upon seeing matting.  

Please advise when booking if your pet has matting so we can add extra time to your appointment where required. If you do not disclose matting the full groom may not be able to be completed in the allocated time.

FLEAS

Please note a $10-15 fee is applicable on top of the grooming price if fleas are found during a groom due to clean up and disinfectant of entire salon to prevent fleas from being transmitted to other clients. Please do not book your pet in for a groom until your pet has been treated.

EMERGENCIES

In the event of an emergency, I authorise Eclipse Dog Wash & Grooming to immediately seek professional veterinarian attention for my pet at my expense. I understand that all attempts will be made to contact me and/or my emergency contact in the event of an emergency.


CANCELLED APPOINTMENTS/NO SHOWS

Appointments rescheduled outside 48 hours of the appointment can be rescheduled within the next week (pending availability)  without a further non refundable deposit. 

Appointments cancelled within 48 hours of the appointment can be re-booked but a non refundable deposit will be required again. 

Clients that do not show up to appointments without correspondence will not be re-booked in the future. Clients that do wish to correspond and re-book will be required to pay the full appointment amount for any future appointments.

PAYMENT METHODS AVAILABLE

Cash - we do not carry change so please ensure you have the correct amount

Card - surcharge applies as we are charged by our card machine provider for all transactions

These policies surpass all other printed material that may have been printed at an earlier date.

If you do not agree with the above terms and conditions our salon may not be suited to you.
